If you don't know what bikram yoga is, it's also known as "hot yoga" where you do yoga in a room that is 110 degrees. Pretty crazy. BUT I liked it! I actually went two days in a row this weekend. If you're thinking about signing up and you're super nervous like I was, here's some tips:
1. Try to
2. Eat and hydrate before you go. And don't eat anything that will give you heartburn. Lots of bending over and you will probably be kinda sick feeling your first time.
3. If you start feeling like you're going to vomit & pass out - SIT DOWN! It's OK to sit down through some of the stuff, even if know one else is. It's enough just to sit in that freaking hot room! I almost left it was so intense but I just sat out a few exercises and then when we started the floor exercises I was fine!
4. If you feel light headed whenever you come up from bending over take it really slow coming back up and bring your head up when you come up. I wasn't told that until the class was over but it REALLY made a difference when I tried it again.
5. Don't bring ice water and don't wipe off the sweat. And there will be sweat (OMG the sweat!). It will help keep your body at the right temperature. I know that seems crazy but it really helped me my second time.
Hope you all had a great weekend as well! :)
